Frequently Asked Questions

What is Coquito?

Coquito is Puerto Rico’s traditional holiday drink — a creamy blend of coconut, rum, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Think of it like eggnog’s cooler cousin, but with Boricua attitude.

What inspired The Coquito Baker?

It started with family. My grandmother made Coquito for me when I was a kid, during trips back and forth to Puerto Rico. Every visit, I picked up new flavors and tricks from my family. Those memories sparked the innovation behind The Coquito Baker — turning tradition into something bigger: desserts, sauces, cocktails, and creations you won’t find anywhere else.

Is Coquito only for Christmas?

Traditionally, yes — but we’re here to prove Coquito belongs year-round. Summer BBQ? Birthday party? Tuesday night? Coquito fits right in.

Do I need to be Puerto Rican to make Coquito?

Not at all. If you’re making it, you’re part of the family now. Just bring the love — and a little cinnamon.

Are your recipes digital or physical?

Recipes are delivered as digital PDF downloads. Once purchased, you’ll get an instant link to download.

Do your recipes always include alcohol?

Most recipes use rum, but we always provide non-alcoholic substitutions so everyone can enjoy.

Can I buy ready-made Coquito?

Not right now. Because alcohol sales are heavily regulated, we share recipes and related products instead. But you’ll find plenty of ways to make your own (and make it better).

What else do you offer besides recipes?

We’ve got festive merch (coasters, mugs, aprons, and more) plus a growing line of sauces and kits in development. And if you’ve seen our desserts… yes, they’re real, and yes, they taste as good as they look.

Do you ship internationally?

Digital recipes = yes (anywhere). Merch ships worldwide through our fulfillment partners. Food items may be limited to the U.S. only.

What if I don’t like super-sweet drinks?

We got you. Some recipes are lighter, some are rich and creamy. Coquito is flexible — like that tío who shows up to every party with a new dance move.
